Six Weeks of Skye!
Well, Skye just celebrated six weeks with us. It's been an eventful time with many visitors. First, there was grandma Beth who came out shortly after Skye's birth to spend a week with us. She passed the baton quite literally to Grandpa Dan who arrived from Seattle on the same flight that Beth flew back on. Grandpa Dan was amazing, changing diapers, bouncing on the ball, making dinner and filling up our freezer with meatloaves and texas taters.
After a week with us, Dan called in reinforcements from Seattle. Michelle, Zoƫ, and Dana arrived and they along with Dan spent their Spring Break walking the Freedom Trail and hanging with Skye. We had a great time and enjoyed seeing all of them.
Along the way, Uncle Per and Aunt Paula stopped off in Boston for a visit before heading to Europe for 5 weeks. It was fun to see them and we really appreciated them making the stop. Plus it gave us a chance to congratulate Paula on getting into her residency at Children's Hospital in Seattle. Way to go!
The family train continued when Grandma Bev came out from the Bay Area for a wonderful week-long visit with her newest grandson. Bev was a dream, helping out with Skye til the wee hours of the night and cooking more tasty dinners. Skye definitely enjoyed their time together. We capped it all off with an amazing Easter dinner before Grandma Bev boarded the plane back to the West Coast.
Now, we're sharing a little quiet time just three of us plus Coya, who I must say was sad to see all the visitors go. She loved the attention! Skye is now over 10 1/2 pounds and developing quite a little personality. He's smiling all the time and starting to talk (a strange foreign language I've never heard before). He's a keeper and we're so happy he chose to stay with us!
